Yesterday I hit 2,543 words of a necessary 1,667, so I’m ahead of the game…but I know from previous years that this isn’t a cause for celebration, or at least, not yet.
Best of luck to all my fellow NaNoWriMos today (and tomorrow for those across the international dateline!).
I started early today with the only writing program I ever use, and love to death: Scrivener. Is it worth it? Yes. I first bought it in 2012 and it revolutionised my writing process. Word is great and all, but Scrivener is a powerful tool designed for Writing (and researching, and noting, and thinking, and all that goes along with Writing), not word processing.
No, I don’t work for them. Just love them.
Anyway…onwards and upwards for Nano. I’m hoping to reflect on my writing practice on my blog throughout November. I’m writing a psychological suspense/thriller novel with lots of murders and danger for my flawed and unreliable-narrator Heroine. Can’t wait to dunk her in hot water and see what comes out.
